Reported by Miqdad bin Ma`dikarib (RA): I
heard Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "No man fills a
container worse than his stomach. A few morsels that keep his back
upright are sufficient for him. If he has to, then he should keep
one-third for food, one-third for drink and one-third for his
breathing.'' [Tirmidhi]
When a person is listening to another person
making dua, it is recommended that he says "Amin" which means "O Allah,
respond (or accept) this dua".
Reported by `Aishah (RA): The mattress of
Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was a piece of tanned skin
stuffed with palm fibres. [Bukhari]
